We’ve long tried to err on the side of simplicity in Shortcut. There is so much information that might be useful to surface, but sometimes it can be hard to discern what is signal and what is noise.
After years of building and using the system ourselves, we finally found ourselves at an impasse.
The abbreviated history on the Story card was no longer sufficient. Who changed this Story’s workflow state? When did the description change and how? It was arduous to find out. So we decided to change that.

Starting today, all Shortcut cards will have the option of toggling between the compact “Important Changes” view and the new expanded Story history. Check it out and let us know what you think!
